I suppose so...hard to misuse a gun you don't have. Its so simple that you might think it would go without saying. But you did say it so I responded to it. They can kill people, true enough. So not that safe for them, I guess! Yes, safety sometimes comes from killing people, or presenting a realistic threat to kill people. The world is not a soft place full of nothing but people who will talk out all their disagreements and problems, and it also is not a place where police can be everywhere in an instant to respond to any violent criminal act. should be allowed to oppose a totalitarian turn of Government or military takeover of Government--both of which will eventually happen in the United States. You seem awfully confident. Guns are tools of murder and killing. Their ONLY purpose is to make creatures extinct--human creatures. That simply isn't true. Gun control is NOT a subject to be cavalier about. That site is less cavalier then your comment "they don't toss pasta". It is more thoughtful then the attitude that it argues against that guns are either "icky", or useless, or are so inherently dangerous that they should be banned. That their mere existence routinely causes otherwise law abiding people to murder. How do you toss a salad or slice a steak with a gun? Guns kill people. They don't toss pasta. In the US and in Canada cars kill more people then guns. Car's don't toss pasta either. Cars do other things besides killing people, so do guns, even if neither is very useful in preparing your pasta. Tim
