Even a better article now, in favour of VRB now that we know the dynamic braking of an elevator can capture and store the energy for later use or put it back in the grid.Same could apply for a forklift...every down stroke of the fork lift could be dynamically braked to put energy into vrb for later use.Same could apply for escalators and many hydraulic applications also down ward leg of conveyer belts...Ho ho Ho lead acid battery's are from grampa's day.
