California obtains its natural gas from a 36" PG&E trunk-line from Canada.

The Canadian main line also picks up additional gas production, especially within California, in those areas the pipeline passes through.

The price of natural gas in California may be affected by a natural gas shortage in the South and East Coast.

California will not experience a natural gas shortage, even if they run out of natural gas in the South and East Coast.
