Yes, there does come a time when you don't want to deal with the worries of a second home, especially on the water where things can disappear in a short time and dealing with thousands of others that are rebuilding also and finding a contractor you can trust to do things as they are supposed to. So many roofing people rush in after and do a shoddy job and then pick up and leave the State. Having to deal with all this, the insurance companies, FEMA and trying to find reliable people is a bad headache indeed.

I do have to say that FEMA has always had enough agents here after a hurricane and have done their jobs quickly and paid out their claims in a timely manner. Hope that is the case with this one too.
