Here's the news clip, late though it may be. I wonder if these power outages we've had over the past several months are going to make a few more people wish they had solar power. Yesterday I had to drive through some very busy intersections in San Jose when the signals were out, and you probably know that PCOM knows how to make solar powered traffic signals. And so... LIME ROCK, Conn., Aug 6 (Reuter) - New World Power Corp <NWPC.O> said it agreed to sell its 46 percent stake in Photocomm Inc <PCOM.O> and its 51 percent stake in <Solartex SA> to an unnamed company. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. The deal remains subject to the completion of a definitive agreement and the approval of New World's shareholders. New World, which produces electricity from hydropower, wind and solar energy, said it will use the proceeds to retire a substantial portion of its convertible subordianted notes. -- New York Newsdesk 212-859-1610 18:09 08-06-96
