Tom Cruise got plenty of flak for his anti-antidepressant outburst. I think he's right, though, we're too drugged. Still he came out on the losing end in that debate. I also completely agree that we have to get past race. A good way to do that would be to drop the "I am a (fill in the blank) American." To me it's wrong that some people by virtue of race or other "minority" status become more equal. The St Bernard Parish in LA was predominantly -88% - white. They got little publicity, little help except from the Canadian Mounted Police! And I don't mean to flip it the other way, just countering the notion that help didn't arrive because "Bush hates blacks."
