I'd have to disagree somewhat or actually a lot. There is a major difference between what it was claimed Elgindy did and what most posters do on message boards. One of his defenders rather moronically claimed that all posters should not do DD and that all of us are front running when we post after we buy. Nothing could be further from the truth. The essence of the Elgindy trial was that the government claimed and he was convicted by the jury of using information illegally obtained from an FBI agent and associates and that he extorted information and free shares at about the same time as he was allegedly front running. His defenders gloss over the counts that he was alleged to have gone to targets of his short selling and extorted shares in exchange for "calling off the dogs." Big difference from posting on message boards as most of us do here.
