It is amazing how little you understand of the topics that you discuss. . . I previously thought you were fairly bright -- apparently I was wrong.

Hybrid cars use electricity, but consume only gasoline. Perhaps you've never seen one.

Hybrid cars take advantage of two laws of physics:

1.) Instead of burning brake linings to slow the car, they use the braking action of an electric generator to recover some of the energy;

2.) A Hybrid car runs a smaller gasoline engine at a constant speed to generate electricity.

a.) A small gasoline engine running at a constant speed is far more efficient than a gasoline engine running at variable speeds.

b.) A smaller engine used at its most efficient speed is far more efficient than a larger engine which rarely achieves its optimal efficient speed.

c.) When the car needs less power than is produced by the gasoline engine, it charges the battery. When the car needs more power than is generated by the engine, power from the battery supplements the power produced by the engine.

Implemented correctly, the car handles exactly the same, although often with better acceleration, with significantly better gas mileage.

You complain that gasoline does not use more ethanol -- and at the same time complain that lead in gasoline was replaced by 5.7% ethanol. Which of your contradictory viewpoints is genius and which is moronic. Do you even think about what you're going to post??

I really suspect you are an anti-technology Luddite at heart. The rest of your anti-progress comments reflect a very limited, uneducated and almost comic book view of the world. If I did not already know some intelligent Brazilians, I might suspect that Brazil is some Booga-booga kingdom filled with uneducated savages like yourself.

You need to do more far more listening and less talking.
