Joe; You and steve are ABSOLUTELY right about the future of PBX's . But, today, Mitel is selling a lot of their small switches ,ie. the SX200ML.Without exag. it is their most successful launch ever and the small biz. switch is their niche. Tommorow re. the sea change is a year or two off . Meanwhile I agree that many small co's are arising because of the perception of ease of integration;they are coming on stream but the degree of hand holding is killing them off. They are coming back to the OEM's for help.The PBX. manufacturers are playing both ends against the middle ie. they are building open systems at one end and are getting into client server telecom at the other end. These guys went through tough times have survived and are not going to give things away to " many small firms".
