Here's the whole quote from this 4 month old article you site as proof that the NY Times is in fine shape (despite YESTERDAY's article about laying off 4% of their workforce and them losing money consistantly). I would think that you would note that they were delivering to almost 20% (19.55%) more markets (318/266) and the circulation was only up .2% (that's 1/5 of 1%). I'd say that if you have to deliver to 20% more markets for a .2% gain you may be in the decline and are desparately trying to fix it. Their hateful attitude towards America will make those who hate America (like you) like the paper more. Those of us who love this country think the paper stinks.

"Among those adding subscribers was the New York Times, which reported weekday circulation of 1,136,433 and Sunday circulation of 1,680,582. Its weekday circulation is up 0.2 percent from the same period last year.

New York Times executives attributed the growth in the newspaper's circulation to its increased distribution nationally. The Times is now available by home delivery in 318 markets, up from 266 at this time last year, said spokeswoman Catherine J. Mathis."
