Now you're talkin'......it's always been about effort over complacency.

I was raise by my Grandparents.....I remember getting SS and retirement checks in the mail....going to the store and paying off the monthly food bill.....in the mid 60's their income was about $400 a month.....by the time I graduated high school in 1972 thier income was over $500 a month.....we never even knew public assistance was available....and I'm sure it would not have mattered since my family never took a dime from anybody....hell they even had a hard time accepting Christmas presents.....

and....they saved nearly $3000 for my college education in 18 years.......my wife and I bought our 1st home 2 years after we married.....on a gross income in 1980 of under $28,000 between us...we saved $7,000 for the down payment.....we had rent ($450 a month), food, utilities, clothing, parking, lunches on the road and my wife drove a new Corolla and I had a new Celica.....

Priority of living right is the key. No person with average intelligence needs to live impoverished. Poverty becomes a lifestyle that is too easy to accept.
