Possibly this is a sell the rumor buy the news play. After all this is dragged through the markets yields will rise and individuals and funds sell, S&P will have to 'hold' so the index funds stay put. Perhaps yields will revert to mean and back to 15%, in which case massive capital erosion occurs.

While I hate USD these I tell myself these are commodity plays (actually many US trusts raised divs much more than Canadians) and I am looking at US trusts and other high yield stocks. I think the trusts are capped for 6 mos min. No more gains. I sold half my TDG, half my CET, 1/4 THY and may sell more Monday.

Some say I'm overreacting, but I don't like the tone of those articles and I think Goodale is rash and it seems the business community does not have a good rapport with gov't, and gov't is missing the big picture. The investment says investors were too complacent in the wake of warnings from the finance ministry.

My complacency just ended.
