Semis earnings warnings are to be expected, INTC gave the first clue. It is that part of the cycle.

However MOT did blindside me. Just the other day I was wondering what effect AAPL's decision to stop licensing its OS to clone makers would have on MOT. Today we have the answer. I longed MOT the first time it tanked and made profits. I longed MOT the second time it tanked and made profits but rolled them into leaps that will be crushed tomorrow. MOT has been an inconsistent performer.

For me, all semis are trading stocks except INTC. On the semis, it would be prudent not to go long short-term options until the picture clears.
