Ecologists think the only viable alternative is some contraption that you put on top of you roof, and hook your car or machine to it and doesn't disturb the environment. You don’t have to input anything. You wouldn’t need to fuel it nor clean it. Kind of Garden of Eden type of thing. Academics’ problems are that they are not pragmatic people who have been involved in doing things. They learned from reading books in libraries. The US will end up with some organic farms and we are going to eat the US lunch. Americans can just keep listening to those guys and it will happen.
