Fly Boeing Airbus A320 in emergency landing Agence France-Presse, by Staff news.com.au Ajaccio - A Corsican Mediterranean Company (CCM) Airbus A320 flying to Paris from the southern Corsican town of Figari, was forced to land at the island's capital Ajaccio, following a problem with its landing gear. The pilot was ordered to redirect the flight and land at the nearest airport after an alarm alerted the crew to a problem. The aircraft circled above the town for at least 30 minutes to dump fuel before making its descent. /break/ On September 24, Airbus acknowledged previous incidents involving faulty landing gear and said an inquiry was underway into their cause.
