Alan,
I also warned that You should wait for their quarterly earnings announcement first, which will feature a heavy loss. I personally could think of buying JTS & SYQT thereafter. I like JTS for the following reasons:;

1) 3" product is faster than almost all 2.5" harddisc.
2) 3.5" product of JTS is finally competetive with other mfgrs.
3) licensing of 3" to WDC will ensure replacemt of 2.5" with 3" in notebooks due to better performance
4) management team with industry recognition
5) production process optimized for cost
6) once their output will increase a bit their huge capital expenditure will be able to pay off, you know the way capital intensive industries work
7) look to WDC 10 years ago, pretty much same story..
