Larry, if you are referring to a forklift in my post, no battery ever made will solve the problem of reducing voltage as discharge takes place.

What I mean is that if VRB-ESS was used on, for example an electric forklift, every downstroke of the lift would give a burst of energy to the VRB, thus extending its working time and so would probably not "peter out as" in the excerpt.

We know the comparisons between VRB and Lead Acid...VRB can be taken down to 20 percent of full charge for over 13,000 cycles with no detrimental effects..Lead Acid, you had better not be taking more than a puny 20 percent off the top on a regular basis, or they will not last and must be replaced.There is no guarantee that the number of down strokes of a fork lift on a particular shift, will keep the Lead Acid's above the 20 percent loss...so I would choose VRB especially where weight is not a factor...ie..rail locomotives, forklifts, and many stationary applications as stated on VRB's web site.

Using energy that was previously wasted as in MAG's elevator example or the forklift example and many others makes sense...sometimes you just have to store it before you can use it to advantage.Bishop has as much control over where the stock goes as you or I do...nada.<g>
