I've been looking over the Barra financials, and what strikes me is that the earnings seem somewhat unpredictable quarter to quarter. One thought is that it might be due to acquisition costs in some quarters. Which raises more uncertainty about the recently announced acquisitions and what impact they might have. Does anyone have a long enough history with Barra to recap and evaluate how previous acquisitions have turned out. I'm a bit concerned that if they have some significant write-offs, the stock price may be vulnerable. Also, is anyone familiar with their software and able to evaluate how it stacks up compared to other products on the market? Thanks. Baird
