Hey! I'm glad to hear you only had a temporary power outage. We never lost power. Most of the people in our neighborhood that had boarded up and evacuated called to see what the damage was. A few fences blown down, mine included, some debris from trees, that's it. I did see someone around 4am cruising our neighborhood with their lights out in a POS car. I had my .22 with me and let them know I had it. They left. Not too long after that, the police came by. They had arrested some people trying to break into houses in the next subdivision over.

We were so very lucky. I think Houston and the surrounding towns did the right thing by telling people in low lying areas to get out because of the tract the storm was taking. We were spared but the poor people in Beaumont, Baytown, Sabine Pass area weren't.
