First Albany's checks, announced government wins, and recent public disclosures by certain cos lead it to believe that WFII should be set up to have a solid second half of 2005. Wireless spending should be strong, led by 3G upgrades and by spending on coverage, capacity and quality. Unlike Cingular, Sprint Nextel (S) spending appears to be strong. Checks also indicate that Cingular is marching toward the upper end of its capex range of $6.8-$7.2 bln, meaning that 2H:05 capex should be up about 20% from the first half.
