How large are your files? Do you have WinZip? Can you connect to the internet with your old machine?

Perhaps you could zip up a bunch of your files and email them to yourself -- from your old machine. Then, switch to your new machine and receive the email you just sent to yourself.

If not, get your local friendly PC "guru" to install a floppy drive. Most local gurus have an extra old PC floppy drive and sometimes they just give them away to a needy cause. The installation should not be difficult. A floppy drive is not expensive and sooner or later you will want one in your new machine.
