New Decision Support Tool Available to ADP Customers This Open Enrollment Season Through a Partnership with Subimo, LLC

ROSELAND, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 27, 2005--ADP® Benefit Services, part of the Employer Services division, a leading provider of integrated outsourced payroll and human resources services, today announced a new cost modeling tool to enhance the Web-based benefits experience for Health & Welfare customers. Through a partnership with Subimo, LLC, a leading provider of Web-based healthcare decision support tools, this cost modeling tool will be integrated with ADP's Web-based benefits enrollment application to allow employees to evaluate healthcare plans based on individual medical needs and out-of-pocket expenses.

ADP's cost modeling tool will help employees understand what healthcare services the covered participant(s) will likely need, based on medical histories and current health status. It then forecasts employee expenses under each of the healthcare plans available, and helps to identify costs that can be funded by a flexible spending account (FSA), health reimbursement account (HRA) or health savings account (HSA).

"The growing acceptance of consumer-directed health plans, such as HRAs and HSAs, represents a shift in the way consumers approach their healthcare. As more consumers begin to use these plans, they will need additional decision support to not only help them make more informed choices regarding their healthcare options, but to better understand the potential outcome of those choices," said Sally Sidwell, Senior Vice President of Operations, ADP Benefit Services. "ADP's cost modeling tool is relevant for evaluating any medical coverage choice. It is an easy-to-use solution that empowers employees to manage their medical care, and a cost-effective way for employers to broaden their benefits package."

Employees that have access to an ADP benefits enrollment Web site through their employer can receive a customized healthcare cost model in four simple steps. First, users create a profile for each person covered under the health plan, including information on each person's geographical location, age, gender, health status and use of prescription medication. The profile is used to forecast the annual healthcare needs of the employee and his/her dependents, and a range of costs associated with any treatment. Users then select healthcare plans to evaluate. An overall cost for each plan is provided that factors in deductibles, co-insurance, co-payments and even the employee premium contribution. Lastly, the tool can adjust cost estimates based on contributions made to a HSA, HRA or FSA.

"We are pleased that ADP's client base will be joining the more than 55 million consumers nationwide that use Subimo's decision support tools through their health plan carrier, employer or benefit services portal," said Ann Mond Johnson, President, Subimo. "ADP's comprehensive benefits offering and service-driven values made it a perfect partner to support employees in managing their healthcare benefits. Together, ADP and Subimo will provide employees with a single source for health plan information and enrollment."

For employers who participate, ADP's benefits enrollment Web site provides step-by-step instructions for the cost modeling tool, as well as a help option on every page. Clients that outsource their call center with ADP can also have employees speak directly with a qualified and accessible benefits representative. All information is kept confidential.

A number of pilot clients will be using the cost modeling tool for their annual enrollment this fall, with all clients having access to the new tool for the fall 2006 enrollment period. The cost modeling tool complements the current decision support tools offered by ADP, which include an online FSA calculator and a healthcare plan comparison tool.
