>>> No, but the party in power tends to be corrupt.

Kind of painting with a broad brush. While the Clinton administration was nothing BUT corruption, there have been no factual allegations of corruption within the Bush administration to date (there have, of course, been the usual partisan attacks -- but in no case has any actual corruption been found or alleged with any true support). Not trying to start a rehash, but it is a fact that Democrats tend to be corrupt and Republicans tend not to be. There are, of course, exceptions on both sides -- I would never suggest that Jimmy Carter was corrupt, but Nixon obviously was.

Clinton and LBJ obviously were. (Although, I have a strong suspicion that were Clinton entering office today, he would be a very strong president and much less apt to engage in corrupt activities).
