Carranza and anyone else who is disrespectful of others . . .

The ranting and raving of this thread led to phone calls to the White House a full day before the mass media caught wind of the Convention Center crises and well before FEMA director Michael Brown knew of it.

The assumption, "if what we are hearing or reading is true... then," goes without saying on all articles posted throughout this thread and I dare say nearly all such forums.

We have often posted both sides to a story and commented both ways. When you get conflicting news, please post it. It is not anyone's responsibility to search for conflicts to every story they hear or read.

All news sources are dubious. Even the New York Times is not above reproach. The entire country falls victim to slanted, skewed, hyped or propagandized news stories every day. We try to sort out truth here, but this is a hobby at best for us. We are not journalists, and thus are not bound by journalistic codes. We are merely intelligent feeling concerned citizens, who are increasingly convinced that we know better how to run things than our elected officials.

Your views are welcome as are your criticisms. But please focus them toward the discovery of the truth about on-topic news items and their subjects, rather than concerning yourself with shooting the messenger.
