Where'd you read that, John, in Grimms Fairy Tales? Seriously, the numbers I've seen don't support that statement argument at all. Maybe a few trading desks are doing some shorting -- but the money managers are all loaded to the gunwales. (And they're all nervous, too -- and if they ever decide to buy some OEX puts to hedge their positions a little, all at the same time...)
