My MIL made the best fried chicken on her stove and she showed me how to fry it and my Dad always wanted to come out to our house for dinner when I was having fried chicken. My Mom made the best potato salad and she would always make it and bring it out too. My Dad had a cousin from Louisiana that was a great cook and she used to have a cafe out on Highway 59 and we would go out there most every Sunday after church to eat her fried chicken and she also served potato salad, fries and onion rings. She passed away and those visits stopped.
