This was something you can't watch just once and "get it". Way too much. I taped it but feel sure I will have to get the dvd. Thirty bucks for all this old footage is a bargain.

I like part 1 more than part 2 just because I had seen more of the stuff in part 2. Scorsese did a great job of putting this all together. It did seem he jumped around a lot, showing things from '62 then singing a song from '65. But I will have to watch again to be sure.

I really liked seeing the interviews. Put a face to the names I have read about for so long. Von Rocnk and others. Glad he used so much from Joan Baez. laughs....She was out of control on so many of those clips. Alan G and others had some memorable poetic lines I need to hear again. Also good to see where all these people fit into Dylan's early life.

Last few years Dylan seems to have gone silent. Interesting to see his early years he was quite talky.

The last five minutes of part 1 were amazing.
