coug- if you'd have watched "No Direction Home" you'd have had your question answered quite candidly by joan baez... and also by bobby himself when a reporter asked if he was going to the protest rally one evening. he said, "no. i'm busy this evening," and then he grinned. it really was quite a revealing documentary... but of course it had its points to make and its own POV. no story can ever be told without a POV to speak from. this was a good story and it was well told. basically it said what dylan has always shown us... he's an artist NOT A HERO. if you like art, he's one of the best and he's delivered some masterpieces... if you like ideology, he's a COP OUT. me? i like bob as an artist but i LOVE joan baez as a HERO AND a performing artist. good post, and good question coug. thanks, -polvito
