Well, let's see the family connections bit. Family connections got Bush into Yale, into the Harvard Business School, pulled him out of several severely damaged business ventures, got him his post with the Texas Rangers, got him his nomination for governor of Texas, and got him the Rep nomination for the presidency.
Pretty impressive work for something as inadmissable as "family connections."
Now, let's do a little quick comparison. Family connections didn't do squat for Clinton, did more than a little for Bush the father but not as much as for the son, didn't do squat for Reagan, for Carter, for Ford, for Nixon, for Johnson. So the last time we've seen a presidency boat so floated by family connections was Kennedy.
And Kennedy was actually a better than half way good president. |
