Well, one thing I'd like to talk about.

They say that famous people die in threes. After Princess Diana (noone is saying Princess Di anymore are they?) and Mother Theresa, now Burgess Meredith is dead too.

Yes, in parts as diverse as the Penguin in the old batman series to his parts in the Rockey films to his poignant portrayal of the senior Gustavson in the Grumpy old men movies, he was a fine actor.
