What I found out today from contacts here in Los Angeles is the following. Cary Thompson, CEO, Neil Kornswiet, President and Greg Witherspoon, CFO have currently started a road trip. Today, they were in Orange County and Sacremanto California talking to analyists. I have real-time quotes and I noticed that around 2:00 PM Eastern time the stock shot up to the high $16's and then on into the $17 range. I also noticed several large blocks (many thousands) being traded all up ticks. For the last few days, the small lots (hundreds) have been driving the price down. Probably overhead supply which may continue until it hits $20 again. But the volumn (1.4 million) and the size of the trades was very impressive.

It is further my understanding that the executive team will be conducting many more road trips between now and the time Q-1 earnings come. It is my understanding that earnings will be released on Oct. 15. I have also been told that Q-1 earnings will be very good. And without a takeover they feel Aames should be around $21-$24 per share.

A couple of weeks ago someone posted the URL for Telescan when Aames appeared on the list. Does anyone still have it??
