The Bush rightwing revolution is over, pal. Look at the polls. The only Republicans who are popular now are moderates like Hagel and Snowe who speak out against Bush. Louisiana is one part Texas, one part Dixie, one part poor blacks and one part Libertines.

But there is no love of the Republican party in Louisiana anymore. If one gets elected he/she will probably be very independently minded. Vitter seems to be such a case. He gave Bush an "F" for his Katrina response.
