LOL!!!!!!!! They'll have to get in line behind a half dozen or so firms that are already working to develop a variety of different vaccines or treatments... but, no matter how many are working, it's still a CRAP SHOOT whether they select useful virus segments to inculcate resistance to, by means of vaccine for example. That's because: the feared mutation between some sort of human flu and H5N1 ("bird flu"), that would retain H5N1's killing abilities but impart the human-to-human transmissibility from human flu to it... has yet to happen. Consequently, no researcher can know exactly WHAT to defend against, since it hasn't arisen yet. There is a very good chance that researchers will make incorrect guesses, and wind up with vaccines that are only partly effective, or not effective at all, against a new pandemic strain.
