Rodney King arrested after family fight

Rodney King was arrested on suspicion of making threats after a fight erupted between his daughter, his girlfriend and an ex-girlfriend, Rialto Police officials said.
Police were called to the King home at 4:18 p.m. on a call of an assault. Investigators learned that King's live-in girlfriend, Dawn Jean, 29, got into a fight with daughter Candace King, 23, who also lives in the home, officials said.
The daughter then reportedly assaulted Jean, leading Carmen Simpson, Candace King's mother who also lives at the home, to become involved in the fight, officials said.
Rodney King, meantime, became involved in the fight and at some point was struck in the head with a stick, prompting him to threaten to kill people in the house, officials said. Someone called 9-1-1 to report the fight and the fact that King was seen with a gun.
Police arrested the women and King on suspicion of various charges. The gun was found at the home but was determined to be a toy.
