I do not know the exact split between PEP and YUM but I can tell you how it worked with MMM when they spun out Imation (IMN) last year. That was also 10 shares of the new company for every 100 of the original. When IMN was issued it was about $24; MMM was about $64. Later MMM sent the ratio to use for figuring the cost basis. It was approximately 4% for IMN and 96% for MMM. My original investment of $5500 in MMM became $220 in IMN and $5280 in MMM.

We will have some idea of the ratio when YUM begins trading on a when-issued basis.
