Gus > technological progress only happens when its products can in some way be used for the diminution of human liberty. In all the useful arts the world is either standing still or going backwards. If you really believe this then you are no different from the Evangelists who are awaiting the Apocalypse and Armageddon and the end of the world. As far as I am concerned the argument is specious. Science is still science. Truth is still the truth. The problem is that people prefer bullsh1t and they prefer to bullsh1t each other rather than tell each other the truth.
