<So now you're saying that the better educated have less love for children? Again, what does this say about our species?>
Yet again, and always, you are getting it wrong. No, you can't conclude from what I said that the better educated have less love for children.
If people choose not to have children, then that's because they love the prospect of having children less than the prospect of their other ideas. That means those particular people love children less than those who forego other things to have children.
<So, what, those who are most suited to survive are those who are uneducated and poor? If contraception, abortion and sex education were widespread and free, what would happen to our population?
Would it just continue to shrink worldwide?>
That's the 6 billion person question. So far, the answer is that the human population is going to shrink by a factor of 10 to a few hundred million [my guess]. If you check populations in the "uneducated and poor" countries, you'll see the same rapid decline in birthrates too. China has now stopped struggling to keep birthrates low. They can see the writing on the wall.
The Flynn Effect applies around the world.
There is very major paradigm shift happening. It's a never-before in biological history process underway. Self-selected contraception while maintaining sexual activity. Children as an intellectual decision rather than result of lust. With genetic engineering thrown in, or at least genetic selection. Women's discriminatory racist eugenics programme is going to accelerate.
That's a big, big change.
