Let's do a search on "sorry" and see if your statement holds true:

Good job goes to Taro for saying "sorry" in teh above post.

Message 21751171

Taro says "sorry" again.

( I didn't include Ten & Alighieri & Tejek's sorries because they were not using the word as an apology.)

J. Chris Parson says "sorry"

Message 21704687

Patricia C. Trinchero says "sorry"

I didn't include Steve Harris and Tejek saying "sorry dude" to each other. Also excluded were, "sorry but I think..." or "sorry but no way". I only included those sorries which were truly using the word as an apology of their error.

In summary, on this thread the people that said "sorry" (in the most recent posts) were:

Taro
J. Chris Parson
John Fowler
Combjelly
Patricia C. Trinchero

The above people were the only ones that used sorry to apologize for an error they made.

I don't know who Patricia but she appears to be liberal, so 3 of the five people that said "sorry" were liberals, while one is an independent (John) and Taro is___ (are you republican or conservative or other?)

Anyway, the most recent posts don't support your position that liberals never say sorry. You appear to be the exception to the rule on this thread : )

People that used the word sorry sarcastically to each other:
Tejek and Steve Harris. Elroy's sarcastic sorry was excluded because it was not an apology for an error.

People that used sorry at least once as a way to disagree or put forward their position (rather than as apology) "sorry but I think ABC":
David Ray
GOOGOO4GOOG
Tenchusatsu
Alighieri
Taro

It's interesting to observe that Taro and Patricia were the ONLY two posters that said sorry to someone with an opposite political view point.

In conclusion:

2 liberals said sorry as an apology
1 independent said sorry as an apology
1 ____(??? republican or conservative) said sorry as an apology

Regards,
Amy J
PS To be thorough, someone else can run this drill with the phrase "I apologize" (if it's meant as an apology) then add it to my results. But please excluse sarcastic apologies such ask, "I apologize for your ugly abc"
