Amy, most of the liberals saying "sorry" on this thread were to other liberals. As for me personally, I've often taken back what I said if (a) the facts clearly contradict an assumption that I've made, or (b) my post was made based on a misinterpretation on my part, or (c) I've posted something totally off the mark without thinking about it. Rarely do I ever say "I'm sorry" or "I apologize" unless I've clearly wronged someone (beyond the usual name-calling, which I suppose would require me to say a thousand "I'm sorries" to atone for).
