"What error of judgement (sic) should Bennett apologize for??

I fail to see any error whatsoever that necessitates an
apology. Perhaps you can identify the specific error or
errors of judgment for me."

I feel like I'm talking to a tree.

Bennett is a conservative and the main stream media is wont to pick on him. Is it not be stupid for Bill Bennett to give them fodder by saying something which can so easily be taken out of context, used as a sound-bite, and be employed as a tool to embarrass Bennett?

Do you know that there are media-trainers who exist solely to protect people like Bennett from themselves?

Having so stupidly said something so easily taken out of context (an error of judgment) Bennett should have apologized to strategically reduce the damages, but instead compounded it.

Just like Durbin, Bennett was right in his comments, but standing by them lacks pragmatism. And yes Durbin's apology was lame, but it sufficed and he will be reelected. It's a good thing Bennett is not running for anything - he'd be strung up by his prose.
