"You can't be upwardly mobile if the rich are coveting all of the nation's resources. In fact, upward mobility has rarely been true in American society."

There is nothing funny about your misconception. It is sad that you feel that way. My father used to say, "Argue your limitations and they are yours." Actually he still does say it, just less frequently.

Very few people become highly successful. That has always been true. It will always be true. Small minded people who think that is an excuse to not try deserve what they get.

"You need money to fuel upwardly mobile moves........if the rich are controlling a lot of the money, it can't happen."

Read a few dozen success books. many deal with the problems of lack of capital either directly or indirectly. Do you know how Warren Buffet got the capital to start? He got several doctors and such to give him $10,000 each. The poor saps who never sold any are now Billionaires. Oops, none of them had that much confidence and restraint. There are more honest ways to get capital than you could imagine.
