While there was a wide fluctuation in expectations, the firm believe Sigmatel's business is likely tracking in-line with the firm's Q3 estimates ($81mn/$0.32). Reuters consensus is $78.8mn/$0.30.... While there are several mixed currents impacting near-term results, the firm believes the stock, selling at 15x the firm's CY06 EPS estimate, already largely discounts these factors. Shares are selling at a substantial discount to its peer average and nearest competitor PLAY at 23x and 20x, respectively.
