Space tourist Greg Olsen arrives on ISS

euronews.net

The three man team including space tourist Greg Olsen has arrived on the International Space Station. The 60 year-old American has undergone 15,000 hours of training at Russia's Space City. On Saturday the team's Soyuz rocket took off from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazhakstan with Russian Valeri Tokarev and another American, Wiliam MacArthur, on board.

Olsen, who prefers to be known as a "space flight participant" rather than a tourist, paid 16 million euros for the trip. He will not be sitting there looking out the window. Instead his week on the ISS will be packed with experiments. Olsen is an expert in optics and crystallography, and his company works for Nasa.
