Hi Lizzie - I have been following all of your post over on the Google thread and reading them with interest. Do you know if Google uses Solaris OS or if their would be an advantage for Google to migrate some of their production operations to Solaris?

Secondly, Since Google is developing a secure VPN WI-FI service is there anything SUNW can bring to the table in the OS (i.e. an open source embedded devise OS w/ Solaris or Java module- I am thinking about cell phones or other specialty devises like card readers for credit card payments or a universal biometrics scanner etc.) that might excelerate a seamless "end-user" secure environment.

I would love to see Google develop a secure Internet platform that integrates the use of "off the shelf" biometric scanners and/or identity card readers. Perhaps SUNW and GOOGLE are developing an open source "security" standard that would launch on the new Google fiber network. I am sure that many large corporate 500 customers would switch to such a "secure" network. Could SUNW be involved w/ Google in something like this?
