Privateers slowly dying off.... (F-1 has become far too expensive even for those excentric super billionaires who have run F-1 teams as private entrants)

so now it is becomeing all factory teams....

Renault
Mclaren - Mercedes
Ferrari
BMW (ex-Sauber)
Honda (ex-BAR)
Toyota
Williams
(having lost the HP sponsorship... he could become a forced-privateer... but frank always finds a solution)
Red Bull Racing (ex-Jaguar he has so much money and a large going concern, now owning TWO teams [Minardi] can hardly be considered a privateer
Midland (ex-Jordan.... still a privateer ? or is it russian maffia $$$ as some have suggested?)

long gone are the days of Rob Walker Racing..... the gentleman private entrant who gave many a young driver their first chance at F-1
