My step siblings grew up on the farm. I have found most farmers to be the salt of the earth. Many of my best traits have been learned from people who choose to live the agrarian life. Many farmers seem to have second jobs to pay the bills. Even that is a lesson freely proffered by the fine, honest farm (and ranch) people I have met.
