Agree with Clinton and you on getting the resident artisans in. They need to be thinking of: 1) getting basic infrastructure up (water/electric and sewage) 2) Getting temporary housing set up in or near town (trailers) 3) Supporting municipalities for at least the next 6 months so they can maintain payrolls and not layoff anymore workers. Otherwise the minimal infrastructure support needed will not be there. 4) For God's sake, put someone at FEMA in charge of distributing funds for some of this, there appears to be a huge bureaucratic gridlock in getting any of the appropriated funds out, which is making the problem of workers leaving accelerate (and will therefore make rebuilding much more expensive). Hell, let Clinton or Giuliani administer it, it may cause a short lived slump in NYC titty bar economic activity but at least the job will get done...<G>
