I don't put a MA on OBV for my ER charts. I've used one on daily charts advantageously though. I trade the ER2 with 5 minute candles and the 2 MAs I mentioned in the note to Bill. I eyeball trend lines on OBV and look for breaks there. But, to be totally honest, I'm really leaning heavily on price action relative to those 2 averages. OBV is my favorite indicator, but I don't rely on it for these trades. Things tend to move too fast, seems to me. Thinking back, I can't recall one of these trades lasting more than 15 or 20 minutes. I don't keep track of that, so I could be wrong. I've seen paper trades that could last more than an hour, but I doubt I could sit still in one that long. It would be hard for me to be sitting on 2 or 3 points, with 5 contracts and watch it move against me very much. I know if I'm in with 10 or 20 contracts, I'd be yanking those 2 or 3 points out as soon as they were evident. You can always re-enter, wouldn't you agree?
