Just throwing money isnt the solution. There is money in the energy bill for this research, I presume its the amount that can be responsibly spent. In a capitalistic society Govt is only expected to provide some SEED capital, once the idea is proven and is a good one (if it is) then Private Enterprise will take over. They would have NO TROUBLE raising any amount of capital necessary if a reliable, safe, reasonably priced alternative is proven. We all would like to kiss off OPEC. jdn
