No one is advocating "OUTLAWING Christmas or Nativity scenes ANYWHERE, ANYPLACE, ANYTIME."

The only cases to make it to the supreme court have been about the ten commandments.

Is it proper to have them displayed in a local courthouse?

Is it proper to have them displayed in Federal courthouse?

Is it proper to have them displayed in the chambers of the supreme court, the halls of congress, or enshrined in a monument in DC?

Where do you draw the line?

I personally think a Christmas tree has become a basic symbol of the holiday and is approaching a secular meaning. The Nativity is different. It is a depiction of an event from the Christian religion. It is clearly a religious symbol and has no place in our public govt life.

For holding these views I am vilified. Called an atheist, a socialist, unamerican. I have no interest in stopping anyone from the free exercise of their religion, but as I've stated before, I want my govt to be as neutral as possible. That, I believe, was the framers intent.
